Wantagh Park

Part of the County park system since 1961, this 111-acre facility is located on the scenic Great South Bay. you can enjoy this park by simply sitting on a bench and taking in the view, but many also come for a diversity of outdoor activities. you can walk or jog on a two-mile fitness trail, or cavort in the swimming complex’s Olympic size main pool, diving pool, “kiddie” pool, training pool, interactive water-play area or two 30-foot waterslides. The park also has tennis courts, ball fields, bicycle and jogging paths and an enclosed dog run with separate areas for small and large canines. Within the park are a marina/boat launch ramp and a fishing pier.
