Sands Point Reserve

The 216-acre Sands Point reserve is a mix of natural and landscaped areas. The preserve has six marked trails that allow you to stroll along or walk along ¾ of a mile of beautiful shoreline. The preserve is also home to the Hempstead House and Falaise, two original Gold Cost mansions. The Hempstead house, originally built by Howard Gould, became the home of Daniel and Florence Guggenheim in 1917. Falaise, built in 1923, was the home of Harry F. Guggenheim. Both homes exemplify the beauty and opulence of Gold Coast living during that era
