Hempstead Beach Park

This 60-acre Port Washington beachfront park, managed by the town of North Hempstead since 2007, will remain open to residents during a comprehensive renovation. It includes facilities for volleyball, badminton, softball, basketball, a boat launch and saltwater fishing. There are picnic areas with barbecues as well as a playground.
