The Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park was formerly the home of William Robertson Coe who lived on the 400 acres from 1913-1955. Mr. Coe had a love of rare plants and converted his estate into an arboretum. The historic park features plants and shrubs from Europe and Asia, and 600 types of rhododendrons and azaleas.
Hours: The Park is open daily from 9am-5pm.
Fees: A $6 parking fee is charged daily from May 1st to October 31st, and on weekends and holidays from October 31st through April 30th.
