Nassau County Courses Remain Open, So Keep Swinging
Nassau County, December 3– Nassau County understands golfers and it takes more than a few degrees on a thermometer or torn pages on a calendar to keep a dedicated duffer away from the game. So don’t put away the clubs quite yet! Nassau County has just announced extended winter hours at some of its best courses to accommodate the most ardent players.
Please note the winter hours:
Eisenhower Park Golf: 7 AM – 3 PM
Driving Range: 8 AM – 4 PM
Eisenhower Park, in East Meadow offers three, 18 hole courses: The red, white and blue. The red course has been rated “one of the 10 best public courses” by Newsday and has hosted numerous PGA events. The white and blue courses were designed by legendary designer, Robert Trent Jones. Cantiague Park Golf: 7 AM – 3 PM
Driving Range: 7 AM – 7 PM
Located in Hicksville, east of Cantiague Rock Road, this is an executive level, nine hole course that is 1,878 yards. It is a wonderful way to work on your short game and the driving range has 18 covered stalls. Call 571-7061 for tee times, fees and general information.
Bay Park (open until Dec. 21st) 7 AM – 3 PM
In East Rockaway on First Avenue, Bay Park is a 9-hole, par-30 course at an impressive 1,956 yards, with holes ranging from 130 yards to 352 yards. There is also a putting green and a clubhouse. Call 571-7244 for tee times, fees and general information.
Christopher Morley (open until Dec. 21st) 7 AM – 3 PM
Located just north off the LIE at exit 36 in Roslyn Heights, this 9 hole, par 30 course is 1,603 yards, with holes ranging from 97 yards to 267 yards, perfect for honing your approach shots and putting. Call 571-8120 for tee times, fees and general information.
